Reid to begin season with ECHL’s Wheeling

Elgin Reid will start his first full pro season with the Wheeling Nailers of the East Coast Hockey League.

The 21-year-old Milton native joined the ECHL’s Elmira Jackals at the end of last season and scored three goals and set up two more in five games. That stint came at the end of his five-year Ontario Hockey League career with Ottawa, Owen Sound and Windsor where he totalled 110 points in 265 games.

Wheeling is the ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
