
Hallyburton displayed a strong glove hand and controlled the rebounds to record his first shutout of the season.
Ben Preisner opened the scoring on a power play midway through the first and and Miller added to the lead before the end of the period. It remained that way until Bergman knocked in Miller’s rebound in the third. Alex Webster and Drew Jones also picked up assists in the game.
The win improved the Winterhawks to 3-1 on the season.
Saturday Milton handed Guelph a 3-1 loss at Memorial Arena. Andrew Dodson had a goal and an assist and Drake Bailey, with his first goal in rep hockey, and Kevin Galley also scored. Picking up assists were Sean Walter, Jacob Quinn, Preisner, Webster and Matthew Gooding.
The Winterhawks suffered their first loss of the season last Thursday, falling 4-1 to Oakville. Quinn scored the lone Milton goal, from Jones and Galley.
