The growing pains continue. In the midst of a major rebuilding peri- od, Bishop Reding’s senior football team took it on the chin Friday afternoon — getting pounded 43-0 by the powerhouse Holy Trinity Titans.
Averaging more than 40 points a game so far and having yet to be scored on, the now 3-0 Titans just had too much size, balance and talent for their young hosts, who are still looking for their first win of the season in Halton’s Division 1/2 ranks. They’ll have a better shot at one tomorrow afternoon at home against Robert Bateman at 3:30 p. m.
Reding’s juniors, now 0-2, didn’t fare a whole lot better in the latter half of Friday’s double-header, falling to the 2-0 Assumption Crusaders.
They had only marginally more success moving the ball than their senior counterparts, with a few fumbles and the visitors’ formidable defence combining to limit those drives.
