Holiday construction not appreciated

To the construction company working on Thompon Road: I'm sure your workers appreciated the fact that you gave them Monday off of work, but the rest of us didn't have that option.
Tuesday was Canada Day, a time to celebrate with family and friends in our backyards. I wasn't impressed that we had to listen to the noise and the constant back-up beeping of your trucks on a very important holiday.
Besides, how much overtime did you pay more than 10 men with shovels and backhoe operators at the corners of Thompson Road and Childs Drive and Thompson Road and Nipissing Road -- who started work at 7 a.m?
My patience is running thin.
