A special thank-you goes out to the Milton community for supporting our yard sale at 1021 Woodward Ave. Our first annual event raised $1,000. Wow.
That's approximately 20 hours of life saving research. Five hundred dollars was donated to ON Chapter research and the remaining $500 was donated to the Carlo Fidani Peel Regional Cancer Treatment Centre in Mississauga.
The yard sale was in honour and in celebration of my mother, Smilja Ivankovic, who's a 10-plus-year breast cancer survivor, and all women.
Thankfully, Mother Nature co-operated and we had a fabulous day. Kids enjoyed free balloons and lollipops, while their parents and others enjoyed great deals, music, refreshments, draw prizes, etc.
So many people contributed to the day via donations, volunteer hours, etc.
Thank you to my husband John and John Ilija (my son) Cvitkovic, my parents Ilija and Smilja Ivankovic, Nancy Dreznjak (cousin), Kelly Ivankovic, Leslie Cvitkovic and Corinne Cvitkovic (sisters-in-law), Mike, Leslie and Nate Lang and Tim, Jo'Ann, Jessica and Owen Jamieson (neighbours and close friends), a new neighbour/friend Diana Todosijevic, Gloria Appleby (work colleague), Trina Carey (volunteer colleague) and Ninette Gyorody (high school friend). Thanks so much.
Lastly, a special thank you goes out to the Champion for their advertising support and complimentary garage sale kit.

Thank you, Milton.
