Cheers to Scorpions for fundraising efforts

The Super Cheer Scorpions cheerleading teams from Milton, Stoney Creek and Niagara held an eight-hour cheer-a-thon in Grimsby October 27 to raise money for Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto.
This was the first annual event and the teams collectively raised $8,000 to help Sick Kids.
The teams worked hard all day, honing their skills, and had a phenomenal time. The mini- team was mesmerized by the older club members as all teams practised tumbling, dancing and stunting -- all while raising money for a very worthy cause.
The youth, junior and senior teams came together with a passion to do their best and be true to all the pledges they collected.
Prizes donated by Super Cheer Scorpions club owners Andy and Melissa Cecchini were awarded to the top fundraisers, and we look forward to next year's cheer-a-thon -- hopefully raising even more funds for a very worthy cause.
