Go Transit will honour veterans who served to protect Canada by offering them free rides on Remembrance Day.
War veterans and a companion will be able to take advantage of the offer all day this Wednesday, acording to a press release issued by Go Transit.
Veterans are asked to identify themselves by wearing their medals, beret, blazer, uniform or other similar belongings while they are travelling.
Immediate family members of deceased veterans may also ride for free if they carry something to identify their relationship to the late veteran, such as service papers or an identification card.
The local branch of the Royal Canadian Legion will be selling poppies up until Wednesday at the Milton GO station on Main Street.
