
At about 3 p. m. at a park on Highside Drive, a 12-year-old boy was riding his bike when he was approached by a couple of suspects who removed him from the bike and took off with it, police said.
The bike was later recovered.
A 17-year-old male has been charged with robbery and a 12-year-old boy will go through the police diversion program.
Store broken into
Police are looking for a suspect after a convenience store was broken into early Monday morning.
Just after 5 a. m., a suspect entered the Maple Avenue store by smashing the glass to a rear door.
Once inside, he stole an undisclosed amount of cash and a pack of cigarettes.
The suspect is described as a white male with a slim build. He wore blue jeans, a blue three-quarter-length winter coat with grey sleeves and white stripes across the back, a grey hoodie, a blue mask and gloves.
Man charged with drunk driving
Police laid impaired driving charges after responding to a minor accident Monday afternoon.
Just before 1:30 p. m., two vehicles were involved in a fender-bender at the Petro Canada gas station on Steeles Avenue at Martin Street.
A 49-year-old Toronto man was charged with impaired driving and ‘over 80.’
Vehicle stolen
Police are investigating the theft of a vehicle on Harwood Drive overnight Tuesday.
The 2000 Honda Civic was locked and parked in a driveway when it was stolen by unknown suspects, police said.
The two-door car is black and has licence plate AHXB922. It’s worth $5,000.
