Police said two friends were behind Sam Sherratt School on Laurier Avenue shortly after 4:30 p. m. October 21.
One boy was showing his friend an iPod when they were approached by two older teens they’d noticed previously, one of whom was playing with a pocket knife, police said.
The suspect who had had the knife confronted the teen with the iPod and demanded he give it to him.
He complied and the two suspects ran away.
The incident was reported to police Friday after the victim’s father learned what had happened.
The suspect with the knife is described as a black male, about 16 years old and five-foot- 10. He wore a grey tuque and jeans. The second suspect, also about 16, is described as five-foot-11. He wore a blue jacket with beige pants.
Anyone with information is asked to call Halton police at (905) 825-4747, ext. 2415, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
