
Just before 1 a. m. Tuesday, a vehicle crashed in the area of Britannia Road and Fifth Line and its driver was arrested, police said.
No other vehicles were involved and there were no injuries.
A 49-year-old Mississauga woman has been charged with impaired driving and ‘over 80.’
Vehicle stolen
A running vehicle was stolen from a Lawson Road autobody shop last week.
Police said that just before 5 p. m. October 22, an unknown suspect drove away in a silver, four-door, 2009 Toyota Camry that had been idling with the keys in the ignition.
The vehicle has dealer plates reading 779DLB and is worth $18,000.
Police suspect the driver of a two-door silver Honda Civic was involved in the theft.
Teen charged in fight
A Milton teen has been charged following a fight that left another teen unconscious.
Police said a 14-year-old male got into an altercation with a suspect between noon and 3 p. m. October 14 outside E. C. Drury High School on Ontario Street.
The victim fell to the ground after being punched in the face and blacked out. He was then punched a few more times, police said.
A 14-year-old male has been charged with assault causing bodily harm.
Thefts connected
Police believe thefts last weekend at two Hydro One sites are linked.
Sometime between Saturday and Monday, unknown suspects entered the hydro compound on Main Street East by cutting through the chain link fence. Once inside, they stole $1,000 worth of copper wire.
During the same time period, unknown suspects also cut through the fence at the Hydro One location on Lower Base Line to gain access. They made off with almost $7,000 worth of copper wire.
Vehicle stolen
A vehicle parked on Potts Terrace was stolen overnight Sunday. Police said a black 2000 Jeep worth $8,000 was parked on the road when an unknown suspect stole it.
Its licence plate reads AWVR019.
