Input sought on intensification study

The Town will solicit input Wednesday on options to make the central core, especially the section of Main Street east of the historic downtown, an area of higher density employment and residential uses.
The municipality’s planning department will host the public open house as part of its Intensification and Infill Study. The study is looking at ways to both increase the amount of jobs and residents in the provincially-assigned urban growth centre (UGC) of Milton and add more infill developments to the Town’s existing built boundary — which is essentially comprised of the area of urban Milton that was built before 2007.
Wednesday’s open house begins at 7:30 p. m. in the banquet room in the Milton Sports Centre.
