Now that the Champion’s classifieds section has joined Twitter, you can apartment hunt, job search and shop, all while following your favourite friends and celebrities.
Now, when residents place a classified advertisement with the Post, for an extra $1 their ad will be placed on www.twitter.com/myhaltonads — where the 45 million people who visit Twitter monthly — making it the 52nd most visited website worldwide — will have the chance to view what you’re looking to buy and sell.
“Adding classifieds to Twitter is sure to be a positive move for our valued customers. It is just another way for us to ensure that clients get the maximum exposure they expect and deserve,” said Halton General Manager David Harvey.
Since all the advertisements are local, users are guaranteed that whatever goods or services they’re looking to buy or sell is close by. The localized social tool makes it easy to get the word out — to your community and to the Twitter community.
“It’s the perfect way to stay linked,” said London.
