A local business that specializes in redesigning homes has a special holiday gift for women struggling with ovarian cancer.
Until Saturday, Carolyn Black of Rediscover Your Home ReDesign and Staging is offering to do room redesigns — or ‘Havens for Healing’ — as her gift to women undergoing treatment or living with ovarian cancer. Offering up their time, talents and skills in this way is a project of the Canadian ReDesigners Association (CRDA), of which Black is a member.
The CRDA has partnered with Ovarian Cancer Canada for the project.
“We want these women to experience some form of peace this holiday season and if it can be created in a living space of their home, we want to do that for them,” said Cyrese Samuel, CRDA vice-president.
CRDA members are certified redesign specialists trained to apply interior design principles using the homeowner’s existing furniture, artwork and accessories to redesign a room, changing the look and feel.
If you have ovarian cancer, or know someone who does, and are interested, call Fran Turner of Ovarian Cancer Canada at 1- 877-413-7970.
