Bank’s silent auction underway

If you’re looking to buy a one-of-a-kind gift while supporting the community, you might want to check out Scotiabank’s silent auction.

The auction is now underway and will continue until 6 p. m. Friday, Dec. 12 at Scotiabank, 244 Main St. E. Proceeds will go to the United Way of Milton.

It’s free to bid, and the highest bidder wins.

Items up for grab include:

• A hockey jersey autographed by 57 hockey alumni including Doug Gilmour, Bob Sweeney and Johnny Bower

• A dinner for two cooked by a personal chef who comes to your house, prepares the meal and cleans up after

• A sight-seeing flight around Milton
