Six people charged in drug raids

A 15-month police investigation has concluded with five early morning drug raids in north Halton, including one in Milton.

Six people were arrested yesterday morning by Halton Regional Police and a number of charges were laid after the search warrants were carried out between 7 and 9:30 a. m.

In addition to the Milton search, there were three in Georgetown and one in Acton.

An undisclosed amount of drugs and two prohibited weapons were seized, police said.

At press time yesterday afternoon, police couldn’t provide any further details. Additional arrests are expected.

The extensive operation involved numerous undercover drug purchases made in north Halton.
