Man charged in May robbery

Police have laid charges in connection with a robbery last May.

The incident saw a 20-year-old local man accosted on Childs Drive. A suspect attempted to steal his skateboard and the victim was punched in the head.

A 19-year-old Joyce Boulevard man has been charged with robbery and two counts of breach of probation.

Threat charges laid

Two men have been charged in connection with an incident that involved threats with a sword.

Police said that at 11:30 a. m. Monday, an altercation took place at a Steeles Avenue home in which two Milton men were threatened.

Two Steeles Avenue men, aged 31 and 33, have each been charged with possession of a dangerous weapon and uttering threats.

Impaired driving charges laid

Drinking and driving charges have been laid in separate incidents.

A man faces charges following an incident in rural Milton last Friday. Just after midnight police spotted a vehicle being driven erratically in the Guelph Line and No. 15 Sideroad area.

A 51-year-old Cambridge man has been charged with impaired care and control of a vehicle and having care and control of a vehicle with over the legal amount of alcohol in his blood.

And a man has been charged after a citizen reported seeing erratic driving last Saturday at about 4 a. m. Police found a vehicle stopped in a northbound lane on Trafalgar Road. The driver was asleep.

A 45-year-old Burlington man has been charged with having care and control of a vehicle with over the legal amount of alcohol in his blood.

GPS devices stolen

Police are warning residents not to leave their GPS devices in their vehicles overnight after a number have been stolen from locked and unlocked vehicles.

Police said four such incidents took place last weekend. The devices ranged in value from $170 to $1,000.

The GPSs should be taken inside at night or put somewhere they can’t be seen, police said.
