The event, being held by the Halton chapter of Autism Ontario, will take place Saturday, Sept. 20 at Bronte Creek Provincial Park in Oakville.
Residents are being invited to ride, stride, roll or stroll in the event.
As well, corporate sponsors, prize donors and additional volunteers are being sought to make the eighth annual Cycle for Autism a success.
Last year's event raised $65,000 to fund programs for people living with autism in Halton.
Autism is a life-long condition with no cure and no known causes. Ten years ago, it was thought to affect only one in 10,000 children. It's now known to affect one in 150 kids.
If your company is able to sponsor the event, contact Steve Dhaliwal at (905) 337-2031 or steve.dhaliwal@nbpcd.com.
To volunteer, contact Wendy Benoit at (905) 339-3022 or wbenoit2@cogeco.ca.
Those who would like to donate prizes can contact the Halton chapter at (905) 631-1233.
And for people who want to participate, pledge forms can be downloaded at www.asohalton.org/pledgesheet.htm.
