A fundraising event takes place from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. upstairs at the Royal Canadian Legion in Milton, 21 Charles St. The night includes games, a deejay, dancing and door prizes, with all proceeds going to three-year-old Paige Hamilton, who was recently diagnosed with leukemia. The Milton Players Theatre Group holds a fundraising barbecue outside the Food Port store in the plaza at Ontario Street and Derry Road from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Proceeds go toward the non-profit theatre group to keep it up and running.
