Top-notch orchestra set to visit town next Friday

One of Europe’s greatest orchestras will be making a stop in Milton for a concert that’s sure to rival any big city entertainment.

Milton Concert Presentations will host L’Orchestra Internazional d’Italia next Friday at 8 p. m. at St. Paul’s United Church, 123 Main St. E.

At the helm of the performance will be noted Canadian Conductor Kerry Stratton.

The orchestra will feature Rossini’s ‘Overture Italian Girl in Algiers’ and Rodrigo’s ‘Concerto de Aranjuez’ with classical guitar. For a powerful finish, the orchestra will perform Beethoven’s ‘Symphony in No. 7.’

Tickets cost $40 each for adults and $35 for seniors.

This is the second concert in the 23rd season of Milton Concert Presentations, which aims to bring first-class musical entertainment in a variety of styles to Milton.
