The Destination Campbellville Community Association (DCCA) has mapped out a day of family fun in the village, including a baseball tournament, art show, music, games, bake sale and dog show -- all from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The dog show will have doggy participants competing for a chance to win awards such as 'Best Trick' and 'Waggiest Tail.'
The fun will take place at three sites -- Main Street, and two ballparks (New Campbellville Ball Park and Old Campbellville Ball Park).
The ballparks will have concession stands selling popcorn, candy and beverages.
Register in advance for the ball tournament by contacting Tracey McGrath at (905) 854-6209 or tmcgrath@wellwest.ca. The cost is $50 per team. To sign up your pooch for the dog show, contact Marcus Whittington at (905) 854-0774 or mlwhittington@hotmail.com. The cost is $10.
Parking will be free at all sites.
Also in conjunction with the event, activities at the Nassagaweya Community Centre in Brookville will put the spotlight on health.
Under the theme, 'Healthy Creative Living in Rural Halton,' the open house will include a myriad of demonstrations and seminars at the Guelph Line centre from 8:30 to 11 a.m.
Topics will focus on NiaFitness, yoga, breast health and thermography, music lessons, spa treatments, yoga and ballroom and Latin dancing, to name a few.
Refreshments will be provided and prizes will be given away. The event is free and anyone, regardless of age, may participate.
