It's a well-known fact that laughing is good for your health. But with an upcoming comedy event, laughing is also a good way to help others.
The Comedy for a Cause series will continue at the Hardball Café with a show Thursday, August 28 at 10 p.m. It'll be hosted by long-time Miltonian and comedian CJ McCarroll and presented by his company, Laugh at Yourself First Productions.
Featured will be a line-up of 10 comics from both sides of the border -- Ontario and Buffalo.
Benefiting from the show will be the Milton Salvation Army's food bank; admission costs $5 or a donation of two non-perishable food items.
Production costs for this show are being waived and all comics are appearing without compensation in the spirit of the cause, McCarroll said.
The show will take place in Hardball's Café Room. The Hardball Café is located on Regional Road 25, about one mile north of Hwy. 401.
