Residents can explore their inner artist this weekend through Crawford Lake and Mountsberg conservation areas' Art in the Park workshops.
Expressive Abstraction, Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon with Rose Marie Nicolucci -- a mixed media/acrylic workshop
Art from the Heart, Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. with Darla Fisher-Odjig -- children will explore the gifts of Mother Nature and assemble them into a piece of art to take home
Art from Nature, Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon with Barbara Ariss -- children will travel through Crawford Lake to gather materials to make a three-dimensional collage
Nature Mandalas, Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. with Jennifer Osborn -- participants will use colour, design, pattern and symbolism to learn how to create something personal.
Introduction to Watercolours, Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon with Janice McDermott
Pottery for Kids, Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon with Barbara VanSickle.
The two-hour sessions tomorrow and Sunday will be hosted by artists.
